Great news for fans of the iconic Japanese brand – Mitsubishi is officially returning to the UK new-car market in summer 2026 after an absence of nearly five years. 

Mitsubishi Motors stopped selling new cars in the UK back in 2021, but strong ongoing enthusiasm from British customers has helped pave the way for a comeback. The relaunch will be managed by International Motors Ltd, the company that already handles the brand’s aftersales network and imports other major names like Subaru and Isuzu. 

While full UK model lineups are yet to be confirmed, early reports suggest that familiar favourites such as the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and L200 pick-up will lead the charge when sales restart next summer. am-online.com These models embody Mitsubishi’s core strengths in four-wheel-drive capability and practical performance, and will be joined by other exciting vehicles from the brand’s global range.
